Day by day
Bishkek to Issyk-Kul
East along the north shore, with the Burana tower on the way. Overnight on the lake.
The south shore
Skazka Canyon, Barskoon, and an eagle hunting demonstration with a licensed berkutchi.
Up to Song-Kul
Over the pass to 3,000 m and a jailoo yurt camp. Cold at night, worth every degree.
Song-Kul
A day on the pasture with the herders. Ride if you want to, walk if you do not.
Down to Bishkek
The long descent through Kochkor, with a felt-making stop. Last night in the city.
Depart
Transfer to Manas.
