The route this company was built on, refined across nine years of running it. Two UNESCO castles, the last primeval forest in Europe, and a capital that surprises everyone.

Suits

  • A first trip to the region
  • Travellers who want castles without a coach
  • Anyone with five days and no wish to rush

Day by day

Day 01

Arrive Minsk

Met at the airport and driven in. A short evening walk through the Upper Town so you have your bearings, then dinner near the hotel. Nothing scheduled after nine.

Day 02

Minsk, on foot

Independence Avenue end to end with a historian who can explain why a city looks like this, the Island of Tears, and the National Library at dusk for the view. Afternoon free.

Day 03

Mir and Nesvizh

Both castles in one long, well-paced day — Mir in the morning before the coaches, lunch in the Nesvizh park, and the Radziwiłł palace in the afternoon light. Back in Minsk by seven.

Day 04

Belavezhskaya Pushcha

Early start for the bison enclosure with a park biologist, then the primeval forest itself. Overnight inside the park.

Day 05

Brest

The fortress in the morning, when it is quiet enough to be what it is. The old town in the afternoon, and the lamplighter’s round after dark.

Day 06

Return and depart

Train or car back to Minsk with time for anything you noted on day two, then the airport.
